SE Barnet

In her practice SE Barnet often employs anecdote and language towards a consideration of personal histories sited within larger political discourses. She engages with relationships encircling place and identity, working across multiple media including; drawing, moving image/performance and installation - all towards creating intimate visual essays on everyday pursuits. Having personally migrated from one continent to another, her interests have continually been rooted in place. From physical site to social context, how we experience the world emerges from our position in a location, a ‘landscape’ in all its myriad meanings.
